Thanks to the amazing support of the community, we have exceeded our goal for this campaign! We were able to send 15 student volunteers to Jaipur, India to provide care for the elephants and help educate the children in the village. Though this campaign is complete, you can still join the team and make a difference by contributing here: http://asufoundation.org/isd

Our campaign is complete, but we'd still appreciate your support. You can make a gift today at: http://asufoundation.org/isd

Our mission

A community with minimal government funding has 119 elephants living in unsatisfactory conditions within a village where children don't have the opportunity to receive an education. We are fundraising to send 15 student volunteers to Jaipur, India to provide care for the elephants and help educate the children in the village.

A little about us

We are a growing group of Arizona State University students striving to build global relationships through service to underprivileged communities around the world. We want to enable students to transform society and the quality of life in both our communities that we live in and those we visit outside the United States. Through cultural immersion and a willingness to lend a helping hand we believe our members gain lifetime experiences to grow in both their academic and personal development.

Our journey

As a growing organization we had our first service trip to Providencia, Costa Rica in March of 2013 followed by Antígua, Guatemala in March of 2014. Through the determination, spirit, and dedication of our motivated members we were able to eclipse any past group volunteer presence the locals had experienced. We were able to break down cultural barriers and became part of the community very quickly resulting in deep connections with the locals. With your help this is the type of energy and commitment we would like to bring to future communities in India. Please join us in spreading our cause and lending a helping hand.

New Update

Published on Friday, Dec. 26, 2014 at 03:45 AM (MST)
Dear Friends, Family, and Supporters,

Just a quick update from ISD. We have applied for our Indian Visas and are waiting for the paperwork to get approved. Should be in the next couple weeks! In addition we have bought our plane tickets! We will be departing Phoenix on March 6, 2015 (70 days away!) and flying on Delta, KLM, and Air France to New Delhi, India and returning on March 16, 2015. Thank you all for your help and support. We are on our way to making a difference in a deserving community.

Hope you all have a happy holiday and a great new year,
-The Entire International Service Devils Team

All of us at International Service Devils would like to thank you for your generosity. It means a lot that you support us and we are glad to have you all on our team. Together, we are making a difference. We put together this video to show you what we accomplished last year in Guatemala and what you will help us do in India. Again, we thank you very much!

Public Statement on Behalf of International Service Devils:

Published on Saturday, Oct. 25, 2014 at 04:19 AM (MST)
To all of our valued donators, and supporters, we sincerely thank you! Your donations have helped more than you could ever imagine. We surpassed our first benchmark of $3,000 in the first week of our 30 day campaign, and we are overwhelmed by your support. We divided our campaign into two strategic benchmarks; our intermediate goal and our ultimate goal.  Our intermediate goal of $3000 was critical for our success as it provided the goal of 25% total airfare cost.

As you have probably noticed, our new $9,000 overall goal is our ultimate goal that will allow us the ability to fully purchase our plane tickets, and ensure everyone of our members receives the opportunity to partake in this once in a lifetime opportunity. This goal also ensures that we won't have to pay any additional out of pocket expenses and the possibility of losing a member because they couldn't afford the additional expense. Each and everyone of us has dedicated enormous amounts of time and effort into making this trip a success, and we continue to pour our hearts into it.

Please join us as we work toward our ultimate goal, of not only $9,000, but helping out a community in desperate need, and showing the world that we genuinely want to make a difference. Again, we thank you for your continued support!
