K.Sam Education First Initiative
What is the problem and why is it important?
In Gomoa Dago, a community located in the central part of Ghana, there are many students that do not have the financial support to complete their high school education. Just last year, only 17% of students were able to continue on from basic education to high school. Some of the reasons for this
- Admission fee
- Semester school fees
- Living Space
What is K.Sam Farms?
K.Sam Farms is a nonprofit organization whose vision is to produce and sell organic foods to assist these brilliant but less privileged students. K.Sam Farms was founded by six Arizona State University students who received 4 year scholarships from the MasterCard Foundation. They believe that education is the key to success and every child deserves to have the same opportunity to go to school. By creating a sustainable farm project in the community they hope to ensure that more students will be enrolled in a quality education.
Why do you need donor support?
K.Sam Farms already has 10 acres of land and a strong group of volunteers that are ready to start growing crops. With your support, we will be able to gain the materials necessary to begin this process and help the less privileged students of Gomoa Dago.
This project currently has no updates.
