Sustain-Ability: A 10th Anniversary Commitment

Sustainability students will be awarded scholarships to work with k-12 teachers who participated in the ASU Sustainability Teachers' Academy.  Sustainability student interns will work with these prepared and inspired teachers to integrate sustainability issues and solutions in their classroom through projects, community collaboration, and hands on experience.

The 10th Anniversary

The School of Sustainability has molded changemakers, insightful thinkers, and scholars for 10 years, leading the way to a sustainable future that we can all be proud of.  To commemorate 10 years of excellence and the many more to come, the Honor Society for Sustainability (HSS), the School of Sustainability (SOS), the ASU Sustainability Teachers Academy, and K-12 schools across the valley have joined forces! Through a scholarship fund benefiting SOS students, the 10th Anniversary celebration will leave a lasting legacy and meaningful impact in our community, leading the way to a sustainable future!

Who we are:

The Honor Society for Sustainability (HSS) is the country's first honors society dedicated solely to spreading tenets of environmentalism and sustainability throughout the professional world. So far, HSS has focused on enhancing the links between the collegiate and professional worlds, expanding student’s skill-sets to make them more desirable for sustainability careers, and utilizing our member base to better the lives of nearby community stakeholders. Beyond that, we also aim to further sustainability education on our campuses; last semester we were responsible for COP21@ASU, a week-long event at ASU coinciding with, and bringing attention to, the COP21 Paris climate conference through a number of lectures and seminars about various sustainability concerns.

In sum, we are a collation of scholars eager to change the world.
